Riechedly Bazoer has ruled out a move away from current club Ajax until 2020.

The midfielder, who Arsenal have been getting linked with since October and recently sent a scout to watch, has spoken out about the rumours that he could be leaving the Dutch club. The 19-year-old insists that he wants to stay at Ajax until his contract runs out in 2020. He went on to claim that his development is more important to him than money, which, if true, is refreshing to hear.

Bazoer has appeared 34 times for Ajax this season, scoring five goals and assisting four in that time. And we’re not the only club who have been scouting him. Pep Guardiola has also been photographed in Amsterdam recently and reportedly wants him at Manchester City when he takes over at the end of the season. No surprise Chelsea are supposedly sniffing around as well but what’s the new there?

Bazoer clearly has an impeccable attitude. If most 19-year-olds heard they were being scouted by some of the biggest names in football, they’d probably be forgiven for getting a big head but it’s great to see this midfielder keeping his feet on the group. Hopefully, this doesn’t signal the end of our pursuit.
