With Arsenal fans rapidly losing patience with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s naive and frankly poor performances as of late, it’s stands to reason that reports are going to begin to emerge that he’s leaving.

The forward put in another frustrating performance against Barcelona. He had the chance to put us 1-0 in the first half but, faced with a potentially career-changing opportunity, he scuffed the shot and the ball went directly to the Barca goalkeeper. He was then subbed three minutes into the second half after getting injured. Again.

Of course I know that the Ox is probably the most frustrated out of all of us. I realise that he doesn’t want to be missing shots and looking like a shell of the player he was supposed to be at 22, but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s just not good enough at the moment.

According to the Metro, West Ham are willing to bid £15m for him. Considering this is how much we paid for him when we bought him from Southampton in 2011 and how he’s playing now, I’d say this is actually a decent amount.

Is it time for the Ox to move on? I’m edging closer and closer to ‘yes’. At West Ham he could actually find his level and be the footballer he’s supposed to be but if he carries on like this with us, more and more fans are going to turn on him.
