It’s hard to see the positive side of drawing against Hull City at home in the FA Cup but if anyone can see it, Arsene Wenger can.

After the match, which saw us repeatedly have shot after shot on goal, usually directly to the Hull goalkeeper, who’s currently being paraded up north on Steve Bruce’s shoulders (probably), Wenger said that there is one thing we can take away from the game…

“The positive of the day is that Welbeck came through quite well,” he said.

Well there is that. Danny Welbeck is still in one piece and in all honesty, he looked like one of our brightest players on the pitch. After being out for 10 months I expected the striker to look a little rusty and even though he scored in the dying seconds against Leicester, I didn’t think he would be able to perform for long against Hull.

However, he kept on going and although he understandably looked cream-crackered when he was subbed off, he looked sharp and lively while on the pitch.
