Danny Welbeck returned to Arsenal side on Sunday with a massive, 95th minute, bang that could well give Arsenal the shove they need towards Premier League glory, but he wasn’t 100% happy with what went on.

Coming on as a late sub for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the 82nd minute, Welbz had a few chances to get himself on the scoresheet before he finally found the net when he got on the end of a delicate Mesut Ozil freekick.

He was not, however, pleased with himself for missing the first chance despite being out since April.

“Obviously it’s in the dying seconds” Danny told Arsenal.com

“I think we kept pushing right until the end. We had chance after chance.

“I was a bit [annoyed] that I didn’t score the first opportunity that came to me so I just tried to make amends and thankfully got the goal at the end.”

Danny’s return is a very welcome addition to the Arsenal side as they look to push on and consolidate this great win. Lacking a bit of sharpness in front of goal, Welbeck’s industry and clever runs will help ease the burden on the others – provided he doesn’t pick up any secondary injuries caused by being out for so long.

Also, Welbeck was making his first league start of the season and now has more Premier League goals than Eden Hazard.

Just sayin’.
