He’s become something of a figure of fun, but Yaya Sanogo had the last laugh (sort of) by scoring his first ever professional hattrick on Sunday.

After a disastrous loan spell at Ajax was cut short, the young French forward signed for Charlton and wasn’t exactly warmly received.

But starting the game against Reading, the Arsenal man kept Charton in the game.

When it was 3-3, Sanogo was withdrawn due to suffering from cramp. He received a standing ovation from the home fans, who then had to watch on as their side conceded a late winner; Reading snatching the crazy game 3-4.
