Petr Čech, a brilliant goalkeeper, an unbelievable signing and not a man Jamie Vardy will like to see again soon.

Alright, that may not be spot on. Vardy does have three goals in two appearances against Čech this season, but against any other goalkeeper it would’ve been more.

With the scores level in the first half of Sunday’s game, the 33-year-old goalkeeper made an incredible save to deny Vardy, who rose above Héctor Bellerín at the far post and directed a header low into the corner. With the reflexes of a man 10 years his junior, Čech made one of the saves of the season.

And that wasn’t their only direct confrontation. Vardy gave Leicester the lead from the penalty spot shortly before half-time, but Čech had the last laugh. As well as claiming all three points, he only went and did this to the Premier League’s top goalscorer.

Composure personfied.
