Aaron Ramsey has spoken about why former Real Madrid superstar Kaka is such a special player.

Speaking recently to ESPN, the midfielder describes Kaka’s playing style as graceful and revealed how much he admires the Brazilian playmaker.

“[Brazilian footballers] like to express themselves and play football in a certain way, that’s very easy on the eye,” Ramsey said.

“The whole world likes to watch Brazil play football. The one player that really stood out for me was Kaká.

“The way he used to play made it all look so easy, the graceful way that he used to take player on was quite special and unique. He plays in a similar position to me, so he was the one that always really stood out for me.”

On Kaka’s day, few players could match his style on the ball and he was a joy to watch. It feels as if he’s been around for far longer than his 33 years, which I guess is a testament to just how much he’s achieved.

After playing for the likes of Madrid and Milan, the midfielder signed for Orlando City in 2014. However, he’s currently enjoying a loan spell at Sao Paulo where he’s played 24 times, scoring three and assisting four.

For Rambo to be looking up to a player like Kaka hints at what he wants to achieve. Although they have different styles, there’s nothing wrong with seeking inspiration from one of the best footballers Europe has seen.
