A strong Arsenal lineup failed to capitalise on Manchester United’s lack of fit first team players and got humiliated by a gang of youngsters.
As if it wasn’t bad enough that we’d already lost twice to the worst Chelsea team for years, we’ve now lost to the weakest United squad.
Although we hadn’t won at Old Trafford in the League for a decade, this was meant to be our time and if you took one look at Twitter before kick-off, you would have thought we’d already won it.
How wrong we were.
Petr Cech – 6
The goalkeeper couldn’t do much in terms of not letting in goals and did try to calm us down but it just wasn’t enough.

Hector Bellerin – 5.5
The full-back didn’t do anything hugely wrong but did appear a bit tired and lost at times.

Gabriel – 4
Not only did the centre-back give away a stupid free-kick right on the edge of the area early on, he was at fault for at least one of their goals. Having a ‘fast’ player in his position isn’t helpful if they’re not going to use their speed to defend.

Laurent Koscielny – 6
The strong centre-back was one of our best players and despite us conceding three goals, continued to put his body on the line time and time again. His only bad point was that the third goal came off of him but that was hardly his fault.

Nacho Monreal – 5.5
The full-back, who is usually one of our strongest players, wasn’t quite up to his usual standard and had most Gooners face-palming when he failed to score from a peach of an Ozil pass in the first half.

Francis Coquelin – 5.5
The midfielder consistently appeared to be wandering out of position and didn’t gel well with Ramsey at all.

Aaron Ramsey – 5
Rambo still doesn’t seem to be hitting his stride in the team and this could be down to the position he’s being played in, it could be down to his pairing with Coquelin, it could just be down to form. Whatever it is, something needs to change.

Mesut Ozil – 6
The German had a few moments of absolute brilliance which, had another player been on the end of them, would have found the back of the net. In the end, he managed to grab his 18th assist of the season and score a goal.

Alexis Sanchez – 4.5
Once again, the Chilean failed to turn up when we needed him. Something’s definitely been off since he came back from injury and it’s frustrating to watch considering how brilliant he was last season. He also seems to not want to track back at all anymore.

Danny Welbeck – 6
The striker managed to score against his old team and kept our passing fluid at the top… If only Theo was on his level.

Theo Walcott – 4
Once again the forward got a chance to play as a striker and once again he let us down. He barely touched the ball except to give it away for their first goal.
