There was a bit of a panic in play on Saturday as some eagle-eyed person noticed that Mesut Ozil had sat out Arsenal’s final training session before the game against Manchester United.

The reports initially came from the website Football Insider which is run by Wayne Veysey who has a terrible track record when it comes to Arsenal transfer rumours but has been very good over the years when it comes to early team news on the day of games.

The report continues to say that Arsene Wenger is confident that the German will feature on Sunday and that his omission from the session was merely precautionary as the club look to protect their Creator-in-Chief from any injuries.

Ozil has created a total of 105 chances in the league this season – almost three times as many as the most creative United player, Juan Mata, who has conjured up just 37.

He currently has 17 assists for the campaign and it looks very likely that he will break Thierry Henry’s assists-in-a-season record of 20.

Hopefully against United.

It’s good to dream.
