Arsenal’s weekend opponents Hull City were in Championship action on Tuesday night, but struggled to a goalless draw at home against Brighton.

The result will be considered an acceptable one, with Brighton three points behind Hull, who sit top in England’s second flight. The Tigers managed more shots and shots on target than the visitors, but nobody was ever likely to open the scoring.

Four shots on target throughout the game meant a quiet evening for both goalkeepers – only one of those four shots was from inside the box. Hopefully Arsenal can keep Hull that quiet on Saturday while proving to be more of a threat to their backline.

Arsenal loanees Isaac Hayden and Chuba Akpom both came off the bench in the second half, with Hayden playing half an hour in midfield and Akpom joining Abel Hernandez up front. The England youth international did have one attempt but missed from inside the box.

Both players will be hoping to play against Arsenal at the weekend, showing Arsène Wenger exactly what they’re capable of.
