Manchester United have reportedly swooped in and are lining up a move for Mathieu Debuchy.
The right-back has made his feelings on staying at Arsenal without getting much playing time clear and it’s looked as if he’s been steadily nudging his way toward the exit for a while. However, more recently, it’s emerged that the Frenchman may only be set for a loan move, rather than a permanent deal.

During the transfer window a number of clubs have been linked with taking Debuchy off our hands, including Roma, West Brom, Sunderland and Aston Villa, with the latter option appearing to be the most likely.
However, as it’s deadline day, there are bound to be some bizarre rumours circulating and this latest one, that Debuchy could be off to the Red Devils, is one of them.
Van Gaal is reportedly scrabbling to strengthen his defensive line after injuries to five of his full-backs so although this rumour technically does make sense and would mean Debuchy should get playing time, it seems to have just come out of nowhere.
In addition, Arsenal are apparently demanding that United sign Debuchy permanently and won’t allow the deal to go ahead if it’s only a loan.
