It was a miserable Tuesday evening for Arsenal, but that didn’t quite extend to the Championship.

There was much better fortune for Brazilian winger Wellington Silva than his Arsenal team-mates, as he netted his second goal of the season in a 2-2 draw with Wolves. Ainsley Maitland-Niles, however, struggled to impress for Ipswich Town.

Wellington Silva, Wolves 2-2 Bolton

Two goals down with 13 minutes remaining, it looked like bottom of the table Bolton Wanderers were set to lose again. However, Wellington managed to score with his head to spark an unlikely comeback.

It was only the second goal he’s managed in 15 Championship appearances for Bolton, so no wonder he was pleased with himself.

“I’m very happy because I work every day,” Wellington told Bolton’s official YouTube video. “I’m very happy with the goal.”

“I’m very happy here, the club is helping me and giving me a great opportunity.”

After a disappointing first half on the right wing, 18-year-old Maitland-Niles made way for midfielder Kevin Bru.

The change came off, and Ipswich scored two of the three second half goals to take home all three points and continue their charge for a place in the play-offs. The three points on Tuesday leave them in sixth place.
