Lille’s sporting director, Jean-Michel Vandamme, has confirmed that Arsenal target, Sofiane Boufal, will be available in the summer.

The midfielder has been linked to a number of European teams, including Manchester United and Liverpool, and although a move wasn’t possible in the winter transfer window, Vandamme has now revealed that it will be in summer.

Speaking recently, Vandamme said, “Inter and Juve have made no official offers so far,’ Vandamme said.

“They only probed with our intermediaries, the agents from Italy, Germany, Spain and England.

“Boufal costs at least £15.6million, that’s the minimum.”

The 22-year-old is contracted with the Ligue 1 club until 2019 so it’s not that clear why they’re so keen to get rid of him, especially as he’s made 25 appearances, scored seven and assisted two so far this season.

Are we interested? Quite possibly. He’s a young midfielder who’s obviously capable of scoring goals and for just over £15m, the price isn’t extortionate. As I previously mentioned though, it all seems a bit too good to be true. We’ll have to see how this one plays out.

In the mean time, you can watch Boufal in action below.
