Harry Kane admits that although the Spurs team watched Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Leicester on Sunday, they didn’t actually care about the result.

Our north London rivals are looking dangerous this season and they’re too close to the top of the League for comfort. With our second Premier League match of the season against them still to come, as well as our match against Man City, it would be easy to see why the Spurs squad might be feeling confident.

Speaking after our win over the Foxes in which Danny Welbeck put us 2-1 up in the final seconds of the game, striker Kane said, “We had our pre-match meal and we were watching it. Obviously it was a good game.

“But we weren’t too fussed who won or what the situation was.

“We are focused on our job. We knew we had to get the three points to keep us up there.”

To be fair, even if they were bothered, I don’t see Kane admitting it. Also, Arsene Wenger often urges us to not pay much attention to other results and just concentrate on our performances. However, of course, when it starts getting to this stage of the season, it’s hard not to keep one eye on how our rivals are doing.
