It’s really easy to overreact after a bad result.

Fact of the matter is, Arsenal have picked up just three points from a possible 12 and it could cost us come May. Poor performances, poor defending, poor finishing: we’ve seen it all over the last month and it’s left us with a lot to do.

But we are only five points behind Leicester and just two behind Manchester City, there are 14 games left and there is a lot to play for.

“It’s a long way to go and we just need momentum,” Olivier Giroud said after the game. The striker is goalless in four appearances himself and momentum is needed for him personally too. “Hopefully we can start that against Bournemouth and then after we have a big February and March until the international break.

“We’re going to see how it’s going to be but we need to keep our heads up and keep working on what we are doing well.

“Hopefully we are going to have better nights to come, because tonight we were a bit unlucky and a bit sad to draw.”

The draw was even even bigger blow thanks to other sides capitalising on our poor form. Where we’ve picked up just three points from four games, Leicester City have picked up 10, Manchester City have eight and Spurs have nine.

All three sides won on Tuesday night, which saw us drop down to fourth, five points off the summit.

“Now we are five points from Leicester City so it is going to be a hard time in the few weeks to go and we need to get as many points as we can.

“It’s not over – we need to stay positive and be more efficient in the next games to come.”
