Danny Welbeck admitted after his last-gasp winner for the Gunners against Leicester that it was a ‘beautiful feeling’ as he made a goalscoring return to the side after nearly 10 months on the sidelines with a knee injury.

Coming on as a second half substitute in the 83rd minute, Welbz replaced Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and had only three touches of the ball, but it was the final one that was the one that counted the most (two of his touches were also attempts on target).

He made no passes at all yet could have had three goals.

Speaking after the game, he was a little bit pleased to be back.

“It’s important, but the most important thing was to get the three points, get the win and close the gap at the top,” he told Sky Sports of his last-gasp goal – a goal that he got booked for celebrating too much using the stupidest rule imaginable.

“It has been a roller-coaster for me, a difficult moment, and my family and friends know what I have been through. It’s a beautiful feeling.

“It’s only one goal. I want to be out there playing minutes and staying fit.”

Something else that is beautiful in its hilarity is his touch map:

Great to have you back, Danny!
