Petr Cech believes that Arsenal have taken a step back in our bid for the title.

Our 3-2 loss against Manchester United in the Premier League was a huge step backwards in the running for the title. Not only did we lose three valuable points but Leicester and Spurs both won, which leaves us five points from the top of the table.

Speaking after the match, Petr Cech agreed that this was a step backwards and that we need to win our next two matches against Swansea City and Spurs – then we might have a better idea of where we stand.

“It’s a step back but we can still make up for this,” the 33-year-old said.

“We have two important games coming up this week and if we manage to win both, the table might look better again.”

The next two matches are huge. We have Swansea at home and Spurs away; these aren’t easy fixtures by any stretch of the imagination, especially with Spurs, annoyingly, playing pretty well.

After losing to United, it’d going to be hard to come back but if we’re going to do it, we need to do it now.
