Although it’s been clear as day that we’re trying to flog Mathieu Debuchy to someone before the transfer deadline is closed (before he does a runner, that is), there’s been surprisingly little around about Serge Gnabry, who is also supposed to be temporarily leaving us.
No sooner had Gnabry been recalled (saved) from West Brom, Arsene Wenger admitted that he would indeed like to send the German out again on another loan.
Although there were whispers on the street, and by street I mean Twitter, on Sunday about the forward going to Charlton, on deadline day a new player entered the game: Brighton.
Sky sources: Arsenal expect both Mathieu Debuchy and Serge Gnabry to leave the club on loan before the 11pm deadline.

Debuchy’s options include Sunderland, Bordeaux, Villa & Man United, while Gnabry is likely to move to either Brighton or Charlton on loan.

Players loaned to the Championship do not require registration today, however, so Arsenal are in no rush over the Gnabry deal.

Sky ‘sources’ are now saying that, as well as Debuchy, Gnabry will be going out on loan and it’s currently between Charlton and Brighton.
Both have their advantages and as long as the 20-year-old actually gets playing time, whichever one is either picked by us or him will be fantastic. I’m sure it’ll be far more successful than his last loan spell…
