Alexis Sanchez has told the media that he is happy, having fun and that Arsenal are now his family, in a statement that should put an end to the stupid rumours that have been linking him with a move away but probably won’t.

The Chilean has been struggling for form since he returned from a hamstring injury recently but that hasn’t stopped some sections of the press either claiming he is making big demands from Arsenal to sign a new deal or that other clubs are interested in signing him in the summer.

A player who shuns the limelight and rarely gives interviews, he is quoted by the Daily Star as saying “Tuesday in the Champions League was a difficult game. But Arsenal’s support was great.

“I’m very happy here as Arsenal is now my family – it’s great fun. Now the focus is on the Premier League.

“We are in a position for the title. Our home game against United was the best match we’ve played.

“That day, before we all went out for the match, you could see we all had this hunger to win.”

They don’t state where they get the quote from and a quick Google search provides no answers so while we shouldn’t believe all that we read in the papers, even when it comes inside quotation marks, let’s believe this because it makes us happy.
