A disappointing 0-0 draw against Hull City on Saturday wasn’t great for Arsenal fans, and appears to have left many Gunners fed up.

It’s understandable, Hull are a good side (currently top of the Championship) but had rotated heavily for the game. Set up to frustrate the hosts by playing five at the back, Steve Bruce’s men earned a 0-0 draw and a replay.

After 14 consecutive FA Cup wins, Arsenal now have to go to the KC Stadium as Arsène Wenger and his team hope to retain the trophy for another season. But just how long has it been since we had such a result in the cup?

An amazing 33 games. That’s right, Arsenal hadn’t drawn a single FA Cup match 0-0 in the last 33 matches. It’s 7 years since Wenger’s team had a goalless match in the famous old competition, when Cardiff City earned a respectable replay with a strong performance at Ninian Park.

The Gunners haven’t had to play a cup replay since January 2013, when they drew at the Liberty Stadium before beating Swansea City back in London. The fifth round that year was also the last time Arsenal didn’t score in an FA Cup fixture.

So, have the ump about the result? Did you let Arsenal ruin your weekend? We’re still in the competition, we can still win it once again and we were bound to have a game without a goal eventually. Enjoy your Sunday and prepare yourself for Barcelona – that one is unlikely to remain scoreless!
