Arsenal have tied down 18-year-old winger Aaron Eyoma, who has signed his first professional contract on Monday.

An incredibly quick right-sided player, Eyoma signed a scholarship with the club in the summer of 2014, and has now signed his first pro deal.

A regular for the u18 team, Eyoma has also played for the u21s and has made four appearances in the UEFA Youth League so far this season. Capable of playing right-back as well as on the wing, he is incredibly quick and technical, offering the side width and always looking to stretch the play.

With Mathieu Debuchy being linked with a move away from the club and Carl Jenkinson out for around a year, Arsenal will need an alternative right-back next season just in case something happens to Héctor Bellerín and Calum Chambers. Maybe that could be Eyoma’s way into Arsène Wenger’s plans.

Eyoma scored five goals for the u18s last season and has one so far this season, hopefully he can add to that in the coming weeks as he stays at the club.

Six players, including Joao Virginia and Jay Beckford, have been offered scholarship deals and are examples for Eyoma to live up to. Hopefully he continues his development and is a household name, be it on loan or by featuring for the first team, before too long.
