Arsene Wenger spoke with the press after he watched his side play out a 0-0 draw at the Britannia.

The Arsenal manager didn’t seem too downbeat, highlighting the difficulties we’ve had when we’ve played Stoke at their place in recent seasons and he’s right – last season we would very probably have lost that game.

Asked if he was pleased with how his side were doing given the injuries, the Arsenal boss laughed at the stupidity of being asked if his side missed Mesut Ozil who was sidelined with a foot injury.

Wenger then said that a number of players would be back from the treatment room by the end of the month and when pressed to confirm if any players would be back next weekend for the arrival of Chelsea at the Emirates, the boss said he hoped to have Ozil and Alexis Sanchez back.

Ozil himself stated on his social media account that he hoped to be back for the game.
