There have been widespread reports that Serge Gnabry was set to return to Arsenal from West Bromwich Albion, but it still hasn’t happened.
The German has spent the season with the Midlands club but played just 13 minutes of Premier League football in one substitute appearance in the first half of the season. Tony Pulis has explained that Gnabry’s injury that kept him out for a year and a half has affected him.
However, it’s a poor argument considering the winger has not even been put on the bench for months. Unfortunately, Arsenal aren’t permitted to end the loan without West Brom’s permission, as a season-long loan was agreed upon. Speaking at Friday’s press conference, Arsène Wenger denied that the player was set to return to north London.

It seems that the Baggies have refused to cut the loan short, but it may be the case that the two clubs have spoken and agreed he will play more before the season ends.
A huge talent and German u21 international, Arsenal could’ve done with Gnabry this season. He’s at West Brom though, and looks set to stay there, so we have to just hope he makes the best of it.
One thing should be certain: let’s not loan players to Tony Pulis ever again.
