Arsene Wenger met with the press on Friday morning and was asked about his transfer plans ahead of the window’s close in a few days.

Asked if he would be bringing anyone in, Arsene stated that he was not trying to as he had all the players he needed. With 23 players in full training, the boss admitted that in order to bring someone in, someone else would have to leave.

This comment came, funnily enough, immediately after he said he had ‘opened the door’ for Mathieu Debuchy to leave.

“Mathieu Debuchy might go somewhere,” Wenger said, “but I don’t know where at the minute.

“That decision needs to be made quickly now as there is only 48 hours to go. There is much interest.

“I have a number of players to play there so I opened the door for him.”

From his comments it would certainly seem like Arsenal’s business in this transfer window is done but we will be here covering deadline day with live updates just in case he has a change of heart.

It’s unlikely though.
