Theo Walcott’s wonder striker against Manchester City won Arsenal’s Goal of the Month poll.

The goal won with a landslide 59% of the votes, with Ozil’s goal against Bournemouth winning second, and it thoroughly deserved the victory. A stunning hit with his right foot from just outside the area found the top corner and Joe Hart had no chance of saving it.

The goal was the forward’s fifth of the season, which isn’t bad going considering he’s mainly either been injured or used as a substitute.

Hopefully the worldie of a goal will be the first of many and the England international can hold off any further injuries. The manner in which the goal was scored did show his confidence is growing and if he sees he’s topped this poll, perhaps this will give him another boost.

It’s unclear whether Theo will make a start in Saturday’s FA Cup clash against Sunderland with many players due a rest. However, if he does I’m sure he could run riot.
