Emiliano Martinez is working hard to make his comeback for injury after the Arsenal youngster picked up a thigh injury in mid-November.

On loan with Wolves this season, Martinez had been impressing until he picked up the injury and was expected to return a lot sooner than this until his Arsenal DNA kicked in. He did make two appearances on the bench at the start of January but missed the last game through injury again.

Speaking at the start of December, Wolves manager, Kenny Jackett, said of the injury

“He’s out training and doing everything in terms of handling the ball. But his kicking, he still looks some weeks off being fit enough to play.

“The kicking muscle is going to take a while to heal and he’ll need to get to 100 per cent before we want to risk him.

“It might be around January time, that’s a fair estimate. Our medical people are very reluctant to put a time on it with me, personally, but I understand why because they’re trying to take it a stage at a time.”

But on Tuesday, the shot-stopper took to Twitter to post a video of him working out and on the way back to full fitness.

Martinez has five clean sheets in 13 Championship appearances this season, conceding 17 goals in that time.
