Despite a ‘relaxed’ approach at the beginning of the match and going a goal down, Arsenal fought back and finished by far the better team.

We made a casual start, and seemed a bit too relaxed and a tad sloppy. Fortunately, after Sunderland went a goal ahead we seemed to wake up and goals from Campbell, Ramsey and Giroud sent us through to the next round of the FA Cup.

Petr Cech – 7

Although we conceded a goal, there wasn’t a great deal Cech could have done. Other than this, he made some decent saves and wasn’t really troubled.

Kieran Gibbs – 7

Gibbs was good going forward and his crossing along the floor is coming along nicely.

Gabriel – 7

Except for a poor challenge in the dying minutes, the centre back had a decent enough game.

Laurent Koscielny – 6.5

Usuaully solid, Kos was a tad weak and sloppy. It was his mistake that led to their goal.

Calum Chambers – 7

Chambers appears to be growing in confidence by the game.

Hector Bellerin – 7

The youngster appeared a lot stronger than in previous matches. He put in some well-timed tackles, noteably in the 33rd minute in the area after Campbell failed to dispossess. His assist for Rambo’s goal was great, too.

Theo Walcott – 7

Great work for his assist for Campbell’s goal.

Alexi Iwobi – 7

Iwobi had an impressive match. He slotted into the team seamlessly, and appeared determined, confident and skilled. He didn’t let the pressure get to him, which was good to see for such a young player.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 6

Although he put a couple of decent balls through to Theo, he tended to dither on it himself. He did look better in the second half, though.

Joel Campbell – 7.5

Not only did Campbell score the goal to bring us level but he never stopped working. He’s looking like a brilliant player.

Olivier Giroud – 7

Although he was mostly anonymous for most of the match (I actually forgot he was playing), he managed to score out of nothing, which is impressive.

SUBS

Aaron Ramsey – 6

Despite coming on late he, along with Arteta, changed the game and he scored.

Mikel Arteta – 5.5

The midfielder managed to control the centre of the park a bit better and allow us to attack.
