I’m not sure whether to feel aggrieved or relieved after that.

Despite Liverpool going ahead twice, we fought back and eventually managed to go 3-2 ahead at a difficult ground against a resilient team.

Joel Campbell never stopped working and goals from Giroud and Ramsey ensured we looked as if we had three points in the bag.

Unfortunately, we allowed a goal back in the 90th minute, meaning we only managed to leave with a draw – something I probably would have settled for after Liverpool’s first goal.

It just goes to show how quickly a match can change.

Petr Cech – 6

Despite the goalkeeper not being directly at fault for any of the goals we conceded, three goals is still three goals.

Hector Bellerin – 6

The right-back seemed more alert than he has done for a while.

Laurent Koscielny – 6

Despite defending reasonably well during the latter stages of the match, the first goal we conceded was through the centre back’s legs.

Per Mertesacker – 6.5

The big guy was throwing everything in front of the ball in the dying minutes. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough but it wasn’t through his lack of trying.

Nacho Monreal – 7

The Spaniard’s reading of the game was excellent, as usual.

Aaron Ramsey – 7

The midfielder scored a stunner through the eye of a needle to equalise minutes after Liverpool’s opener.

Mathieu Flamini – 6

The midfielder was lunging in all over the place but remarkably, didn’t kill anyone.

Mesut Ozil – 7.5

The playmaker was the only player able to pass the ball in the first half despite being closely marked by Henderson and in the second his crossing was brilliant.

Joel Campbell – 8

Joel was our best player on the pitch. Not only did he bag a couple of assists but was back defending and never stopped running to win the ball back.

Theo Walcott – 6

Theo was mostly anonymous but did continue to get into the right positions. He was also at fault was the first goal after trying to dribble out of the Liverpool box.

Olivier Giroud – 7.5

Scored two goals and proved why he’s such an asset in big games.
