Chelsea are reportedly in talks with Corinthians to bring Alexandre Pato to Stamford Bridge and it could be completed before our match on Sunday.

Pato, who’s spent the last couple of seasons not doing a great deal on loan at Sao Paulo (23 goals in 72 appearances isn’t great, is it?), is dead keen on coming to England and it appears the Blues are willing to chuck £10m to his Brazilian team in order to bring him to Stamford bridge. Might as well go the whole hog and chuck in a Kit Kat while you’re at it, eh Abramovich?

The deal for the 26-year-old could be completed by the time Chelsea come to visit on Sunday, although it’s doubtful the ‘goalscorer’ would replace the charismatic beacon of positivity that is Diego Costa up front. Not least because it’s still pre-season in Brazil and therefore, Pato will be about as fit as a jam donut.
