Only four Arsenal loanees were included in Saturday’s fixtures.

Unfortunately, Serge Gnabry, Yaya Sanogo, Chuba Akpom and Stefan O’Connor were all left out of their loan team squads. However, a stunner of a goal from Toral sort of makes up for it.

Carl Jenkinson

The right-back made a start against our title rivals, Man City, in West Ham’s 2-2 draw at Upton Park.

However, unfortunately, the 23-year-old didn’t have the best match after firstly giving away a penalty and then getting subbed off in the 13th minute due to a suspected injury he picked up from conceding said penalty.

The match was only the Englishman’s 20th Premier League appearance this season, so here’s hoping he’s not too seriously injured.

Jon Toral

As many of you will have seen, Toral scored his sixth goal of the season for Birmingham City in their 3-0 win against Ipswich.

The 20-year-old scored the wonder striker in the 54th minute and was kept on for the entire game, which saw the Tractor Boys reduced to 10 men in the first half.

The win was huge for Birmingham, as it means they actually leap frog Ipswich into seventh place in the Championship.

Chuba Akpom & Isaac Hayden

Although Akpom wasn’t in Hull City’s squad against Fulham on Saturday, Hayden was and got the opportunity to make his 17th appearance for the Tigers.

Hull won 1-0 thanks to an 80th minute penalty slotted home by Abel Hernandez.

Hayden was eventually subbed off in the 71st minute after picking up a yellow earlier in the second half.

The win means Hull are now top of the Championship table.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles

Although Ainsley started on the bench, he didn’t get his chance to make his 26th appearance for Ipswich.

It’s probably just as well, as the Tractor Boys lost 3-0 to Birmingham, giving the Midlands team the opportunity to overtake them in the Championship table.
