Joel Campbell was ecstatic after scoring against Sunderland in the FA Cup.

The goal marked the forward’s third of the season so far and his overall performance against the Black Cats was fantastic. The 23-year-old is now showing why being patient and allowing his potential to come to fruition can pay off. He’s become a huge part of the team and is now the obvious choice over the Ox, who hasn’t been great recently.

Campbell tweeted after the match about his goal.

After Campbell equalised, Rambo and Giroud put the game out of sight and made sure we went through to the next round.

The Costa Rican seems genuinely thrilled to be given a chance in the first team and it makes me so glad we didn’t sell him. He works hard, is getting stronger by the game, and has the skills we need. Hopefully this means he’ll remain at Arsenal for a while to come.
