Excellent news: Jack Wilshere has apparently suffered another injury set-back!
Forgive my sarcasm but upon hearing this news on Sunday morning, I actually find myself pretty angry and I think I’ve worked out why. Stay tuned.
The midfielder, who still hasn’t played this season and Arsene Wenger insisted was just weeks away from a return days ago, is now, according to reports, out for a further eight weeks.
Hearing awful news that Jack has suffered the dreaded setback. Could be 8 weeks and end of Euro dream. Mare 😩

This is concerning as it looks as if he definitely won’t be making Euro 2016 and also because what was originally a hairline fracture has now kept him sidelined since the summer. Any progress the 24-year-old was expected to make from when he was a young lad, tearing up the pitch with a glint in his eye, has now faded into a distant memory. The glimmer has dulled. All that’s left on top of the pedestal we’d built up for one of the most promising young talents in English football is a lot of dust, an FA Cup scarf and a couple of Champagne corks.
There have been plenty of rumours surrounding Jack for the past couple of months, ranging from him joining Manchester City to signing a new, deluxe contract with us. However, I find this one, the one where he’s injured yet again, to be far more concerning.
Coming back to my original point about figuring out why I’m so angry, I think it’s because I – we – are completely in the dark. If true, why has he suffered yet another set-back? Why does this keep happening? What are we doing wrong? Why did it take so long to operate on him? What is going on behind the scenes?
When is enough, enough?
Does Arsenal’s Golden Boy realistically have a future at Arsenal?
