As we go through January, there will be a lot of talk about Arsenal and who the club are targeting.

Mohamed Elneny looks likely to sign, while fans will get excited about rumours linking us to big name forwards like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Much less interesting for some will be the outgoings, which look likely to include Mathieu Debuchy who will either be sold or loaned out. Those outgoings may also involve young players looking for regular football. In fact, Gedion Zelalem has already extended his loan spell at Rangers.

But what about the others? Isaac Hayden has already been recalled form Hull City, so could move elsewhere before the end of the month. Serge Gnabry is another player being linked with a loan spell away after being recalled, though he is yet to return from West Bromwich Albion. Gnabry is a huge talent and may yet be sent out to the Championship so he can play regularly. Promotion chasing Brighton are reportedly interested in the German, and Arsenal would be open to offers.

Also available could be Alex Iwobi. The Nigerian international has made a handful of appearances this season but spoke about getting regular football a few months ago and is allegedly wanted by Reading.

Former Arsenal scout Brian McDermott has just re-joined Reading for a second spell as manager, so this feels like a switch that could definitely happen. Watch this space.
