Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos is, once again, being linked with a move to north London.

Back in the summer Arsenal were linked with a move for the 19-year-old midfielder, who decided to stay at Real Betis and said he would remain at the club for a while.

However, a new transfer window has opened and his name has cropped up once again. Arsenal have allegedly been scouting the player for a while now but rumours that he could be on his way seem far-fetched.

Ceballos is playing regularly for Real Betis, starting 10 La Liga games so far this season. With the likes of Mesut Özil and Aaron Ramsey in his way, he would really struggle for minutes with the Gunners and certainly doesn’t seem ready to make an immediate impact.

The midfielder signed a new deal back in October which doesn’t expire until 2020, meaning he’s in no rush to leave. A possible transfer, which could happen if Arsenal activated his release clause of around £9m just wouldn’t make that much sense right now. The clause doesn’t expire soon and he won’t get minutes at Arsenal, so why would the club sign him?

A player who isn’t needed at Arsenal just yet, is still developing, and is at his boyhood club seems very unlikely to make the move this winter.
