Three Arsenal Ladies players have been called up by coach Arjan Van de Lann for their double header friendlies against Denmark.

Sari Van Veenendaal, Dominique Janssen and Danielle Van De Donk have been selected for the Netherlands training camp in Turkey at the end of the month. Also included in the squad is former Arsenal Academy player Renee Slegers.

The 25-player-strong Dutch squad will be in Turkey from the 19th to 26th January and will play Denmark on the 22nd and 25th January.

The Netherlands are preparing for the Olympic games play-off that they will be hosting from the 2nd to 9th March.

Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands will all be fighting for UEFA’s final spot.

France and Germany have already qualified for the Olympics. The play-offs are happening because England would have qualified as well as the other two European countries, but Team GB decided not to enter a team due to the usual political interferences.

Columbia and host Brazil are also through as well as Zimbabwe and South-Africa.

New Zealand and Papua New Guinea will compete for the OFC seat. The AFC qualifiers will be played around the same time as the UEFA play-offs while the Concacaf qualifying tournament will be played from the 10th to the 21st of February with the USA huge favourite to go through.
