For some reason, Mathieu Debuchy is wanted by just about everyone except Arsenal in January.

The out-of-favour full back has found it hard to slot back into the first team after getting injured. Youngster Hector Bellerin are quickly overtaken him in the pecking order and now, the former Newcastle star is getting restless.

With the odds of Debuchy leaving the club sooner rather than later getting higher, it now appears to just be a matter of ‘where’ and ‘when’ rather than ‘if’.

The latest on the long list of clubs supposedly interested in the defender is West Brom, which would be a decent destination for the Frenchman. He’s Premier League ready and alongside a team that relies less on passing and moving football, his loss of pace may not pose as much of a problem as it does to us.

As it is, he’s not happy sitting on the bench and there’s no way he’s getting back into the first team unless Bellerin gets injured. It might be best to cut ties sooner rather than later.
