Rumours are emerging via an apparent Barcelona insider that the Catalan team was so relieved to draw unassuming little Arsenal that they actually celebrated when the draw was read out.

Although no one except the club themselves and people who were there know whether the reports are actually true, I want Arsenal to believe they are.

Arsenal have shown time and time again that we’re capable of success in the face of adversity. Just look at our last Champions League clash against Olympiacos. No one thought we’d get the two goals we needed to go through and we didn’t… we got three.

If we can harness this supposed arrogance that Barca harbour and use it to fuel our desire to win, this could be the cutting edge we need to progress to the next round.

I want all the Arsenal players to read the reports, believe them and prepare to win at all costs. I want Wenger to play them tapes of every time we’ve lost to the La Liga giants and let that spur them on to not repeat the same mistakes.

We’re a different team now, let’s show Barcelona that.
