Arsenal face Newcastle on Saturday for the second time this season.
The first time we saw a scrappy affair between the two teams, which involved several yellows and a red for the Magpies within the first half. We ended up winning 1-0 but the match, as ever at St. James’ Park, was frenetic and far from easy.
Newcastle currently sit in the relegation zone and have had a tricky season so far. However, they have enjoyed some decent away results, including a 2-1 win over Spurs and a draw at Old Trafford.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Wenger said, “I believe they had a difficult start. Away from home they have good performances.”
This said, we have enjoyed a fair amount of success against the Magpies at home so although the match on Saturday shouldn’t be a walk in the park, it should be a comfortable win for us.
I say ‘should’… we currently sitting at the top of the league on goal difference alone. Could we somehow find a way to mess this up?
