Injured after just 10 minutes on Sunday, Arsenal fans are used to seeing the sight of Laurent Koscielny hobble off the pitch.

Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott are all supposedly injury prone. So are Mikel Arteta and Kieran Gibbs.

However, it is the French centre-half who has been picking up more injuries than any of his teammates.

According to Arsenal Report, Koscielny has been injured a staggering 17 times since the start of the 2013 season.

Those injuries have only cost him 190 days of playing or training, thankfully nothing too serious has happened to the defender yet, but the sheer number of injuries is incredible. Gabriel took his place at Norwich City on Sunday and was at fault as Lewis Grabban scored an equaliser for the hosts.

Koscielny’s not having his finest season in an Arsenal shirt but is still consistent and a top quality defender. Even more importantly, his partnership with Per Mertesacker is one of the finest around and easily the best Arsenal have had in a decade.

The Gunners are just two points behind Manchester City in the Premier League, but will need to keep Koscielny fit in order to mount a title challenge this season.
