Is David Ospina heading for the exit door?

The Colombian goalkeeper was heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal in the summer, with a number of clubs reportedly interested in his services.

Much of that interest seemed to come from Turkey, with Fenerbahce reportedly close to sealing a deal that never went through. But he could be going to Turkey after all. As spotted by Will Giles from Metro, the goalkeeper has been busy entertaining Besiktas fans on Twitter.

Obviously he wouldn’t tweet information about a transfer, but he has liked a number of tweets from Besiktas fans asking him to join the club.

The Colombian doesn’t just like every tweet which is sent to him – he has only ever ‘liked’ 250 tweets, so could there be something in this?

There are so many complicated stages to a transfer that there’s no way of telling just yet, and Wojciech Szczesny is on loan at Roma, so Arsenal are highly unlikely to sell Ospina this winter.

Nonetheless, Ospina is completely out of favour at Arsenal after being replaced by Petr Čech in the Champions League as well as the Premier League, and his days in north London are numbered if he ever wants regular first team football.
