In case you didn’t know, which isn’t likely, Petr Cech broke the record for the most clean sheets in the history of the Premier League ever against Bournemouth on Monday night.

The former Chelsea shot stopper has admitted that he’s not one for celebrating personal achievements so much as he mainly wants to help the team but this one is a big’un.

The Czech Republic international spoke after the match about how proud he was to find out he’d kept 170 clean sheets.

“I must say at the end of the game I was proud,” he said.

“It is not every day you break the record of the best league in the world.”

Cech also tweeted after the match to thank not only the fans for their support and messages, but Arsenal and Chelsea, his current (obviously) and former clubs.

The man is a class act and it’s brilliant having him at our club. Hopefully there are many more achievements for him to meet both individually and as part of the team.
