Petr Cech finally equalled David James’ clean sheet record as he kept Aston Villa at bay on Sunday.

Claiming his 169th clean sheet in the Premier League, the Arsenal keeper looks set to make the record his own by some distance by the end of the season, but speaking after the game he said he was happier with the three points collected than the individual honour.

Whether you believe that or not, I don’t think there’s anyone who would begrudge him feeling more than a little happy with himself.

Taking to Twitter, Petr thanked people for their congratulations while also admitting that he’s honoured to match the record.

Now, let’s break it against City!
