Arsenal and Chelsea have apparently been told that Goncalo Guedes will cost between €40m and €45m if they want to prise him away from Benfica.

Guedes is a right winger who has played for Benfica since he was a kid and despite only just turning 19 has already represented Portugal at full international level twice.

He has three goals and four assists in 11 league appearances this season.

It’s hard to know how much truth there is to any Arsenal interest but if there was any to begin with, we can be fairly certain that it ended when they were told how much he would cost.

Arsenal were at one of his games recently and it was claimed that they were scouting him.

You probably know as much about Guedes as we did when we first came across this rumour, so here’s a youtube video so you can appear knowledgeable and wow your mates in the pub:

He is under contract until 2021 which might go some way to explaining the stupid price tag placed on him.
