Young midfielder, Harry Donavan, has left Arsenal to join Millwall who currently play in League One.

The 17-year-old, who joined Arsenal when he was just a child, progressing through the Hale End Academy, completed a successful trial with the Lions and despite featuring regularly for the u18s last season, the club decided to let him go.

With his release, Jeorge Bird reports that Arsenal only have four second-year scholars left at the club – Marc Bola, Aaron Eyoma, Savvas Mourgos and Ilias Chatzitheodoridis – with the latter at risk of following Donovan out the door.

Training with the Arsenal seniors on one occasion, Donovan has joined Millwall on a permanent basis and leaves with all the best wishes from the club.

Reportedly a very determined player, if he maintains that attitude he should be able to forge himself a future in the game.

At what level, however, remains to be seen.
