Arsene Wenger believes that although a draw against Spurs is probably a fair result, we could have won it in the last 15 minutes and he’s right.

After Kieran Gibbs came on the pitch and managed to score, the whole direction of the game changed. Whether this was down to the goal, the crowd getting behind the lads or the genuine impact Gibbs’ fresh legs had on our attack, we continued to have chances.

Giroud was unlucky to miss a few headers and on any other day, he would have buried them in the back of the net.

In his post-match comments, Wenger explained how he felt about the game.

“When you are 1-0 down it is a mixture of relief and regret,” he said.

“I think if we were really clinical we would have won it in the last 15 minutes. But if I tried to be fair, I must say that the point is a fair result.”

Most Gooners will probably be feeling the same. We were lucky to get the point but after we equalised we honestly could have gone on to win it and at times I thought we would. However, right now I’m just going to view it as a point gained rather than two lost.
