Arsenal have now scored an unreal 2000 goals during Arsene Wenger’s time at the club but the boss doesn’t seem all that bothered about it.

In his press conference after our 3-0 victory over Swansea, Wenger was far more keen to talk about the three points we won against the welsh team than his personal achievement.

“Yes, the three points are more important,” he said.

“I am proud of scoring goals because people like to come to see football to see people try to play, but the most important of course was the three points.”

This is Wenger all over. He’ll happily overlook his own milestones for the good of the team because he is Arsenal.

I know Tony Adams has the official title of Mr. Arsenal but if this is the case, what is Wenger? The man has dedicated and, at points, sacrificed his career for our team to make sure we are a sustainable club; to make sure we have a future even after he’s left.

Wenger’s achievement of having 2000 goals scored under his management is fantastic but he’s given us so much more and I hope he knows that.
