Jamie Redknapp doesn’t just believe Arsenal’s 2-1 loss against West Brom was a bad performance, he reckons it was ‘disastrous’.

The former Spurs man spoke after the match and was so dramatic that he managed to give some Arsenal fans a run for their money.

“Defeat by West Brom was a disastrous result and now, rather than looking ahead, they are looking over their shoulder,” the pundit said.

If we were in the latter stages of the season, sure, a 2-1 defeat away to West Brom could be seen as disastrous to our title hopes. However, the top four is still incredibly close, we’ve not even reached Christmas yet, and we have players yet to return from injury.

Of course, the injury issue is a big one, and Redknapp does mention how Coquelin will be a big loss. However, I think it’s a bit premature to start counting us out of the title race altogether so early on.

All the top teams appear to be stuttering at the moment. Arsenal aren’t the only ones. Come on Jamie, pull yourself together, man.
