The repercussions from Arsenal’s 5-1 loss midweek were that we looked completely cream-crackered against Spurs.

Similar to our match against Swansea, our midfield went missing and half of our players were strolling around without a care in the world by the final half an hour.

Thankfully, Gibbo came on late in the second half to score and salvage a draw.

We had our moments of inspiration but they were few and far between and ultimately we were lucky to come away with the point.

Petr Cech – 7

Although he probably shouldn’t have gone down so early for Spurs’ goal, he did pull off some great saves, including one from Eriksen in the second half, and his distribution was more or less spot on.

Mathieu Debuchy – 5

His positioning wasn’t the worst I’ve seen it but his loss of speed has made him something of a liability.

Per Mertesacker – 5.5

The centre back repeatedly misread the flight of the ball and ended up being caught out by Harry Kane on his shoulder. Someone with his experience shouldn’t be making these mistakes.

Laurent Koscielny – 5.5

Kos is usually one of our most solid players but against Spurs he made a couple of uncharacteristic mistakes. Most notably, his step forward the wrong side of Kane so the striker could go through and score.

Nacho Monreal – 6

Nacho was strong and tenacious with the ball a lot of the time, but even he was needlessly giving it away and looking leggy after a while.

Francis Coquelin – 5.5

The midfielder was mostly anonymous except for a decent interception in the 20th minute.

Joel Campbell – 6

One word to describe Joel is ‘plucky’. He fights for every ball and plays like someone who wants to prove his worth. However, sometimes he just isn’t strong enough and gets stuck. Hopefully this is something he’ll improve with time.

Mesut Ozil – 6.5

When we did have a decent spell, the German was often part of it. Before long he was taking every corner and free-kick.

Alexis Sanchez – 6

The Chilean started off well and really gave Walker a hard time. However, after a while he looked tired and was just running into people.

Santi Cazorla – 5

It was a rare poor game for the midfielder who was completely played out of the game. His passing was sloppy and he looked exhausted.

Olivier Giroud – 6.5

Giroud gave Spurs a hard time and had several headers, which he should have put away. On another day, he could have scored several.

SUBS

Mathieu Flamini – 4

His inclusion didn’t really change the game much and his passing was a little sloppy.

Kieran Gibbs – 10

I don’t feel as if anyone can argue with me on this.

Mikel Arteta – N/A
