Amongst the gloom that is our current list of injured players, there lies a glimmer of hope.

Everyone, including myself, just about wet themselves with excitement when Aaron Ramsey returned from injury in the second half of our 3-0 win against Dinamo Zagreb, and now it appears the Ox could also make a return sooner rather than later.

Wenger spoke ahead of our Premier League match against Norwich and revealed that not only did we manage to though get a week without losing any more players (*rubs eyes in disbelief*), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could make an appearance.

“We should have everyone available [from the Zagreb game], the players that played on Tuesday night plus maybe Oxlade-Chamberlain should be back in the squad,” the boss revealed.

The Ox has had a raw deal during his career at Arsenal when it comes to injuries but this season it appeared that he was about to come into his own and show everyone what the fuss was about. Unfortunately, we lost both him and Theo in our disaster of a cup match against Sheffield Wednesday.

It’ll be good to see him back on the pitch, especially with Theo still out for a little while – he could have a run of matches in the side.
