Martin Keown has revealed that he’s missing seeing Aaron Ramsey play for Arsenal – and so are the team.

The pundit spoke after our draw against Spurs, which we were lucky to get, revealing that he believes the root of our problems in midfield at the moment come from Aaron Ramsey being injured.

“Arsenal were completely overrun in midfield against Tottenham, with their passing game disrupted by the visitors’ excellent pressing,” Keown said.

“Santi Cazorla, Arsenal’s chief creator from deep, could barely get on the ball and I think this is largely down to the loss of Aaron Ramsey through injury.”

The Welshman is still yet to return to full training and we’re definitely missing him. He’s the most complete midfielder we have at the club and having that strong assurance combined with creativity and pace is killing us on the pitch.

As brilliant as Santi and Le Coq are individually, not having Rambo there to help run the show is leaving us at a huge disadvantage.

Hopefully Rambo will be back to fitness before we know it and will be back in midfield, bossing it from box-to-box just like he has for many seasons. If the Spurs game was anything to go by, we need him now more than ever.
